Grandma...

I had a wonderful conversation with my grandma (Hi Grandma!) yesterday and she informed me that she knows how to get to our blog all on her own. She talked about "google" and her "favorites," etc...I was SOOOO impressed! Did I mention she will be 90 years old next week!!! Even more impressing!! Let's just say that was enough motivation to keep updating my blog as much as I can...Love you grandma! Thanks for checking in on us and your sweet great-granddaughter who adores you, too!

She keeps us smiling...

Tonight at dinner Emily counted to 10 (in English)....following her accomplishment, daddy tried to lead her in counting to 10 in Hungarian, then German....this is how the conversation went:

Daddy: Good job, Emily! Do you want to count to ten in Hungarian?
Emily: Noooo
Daddy: What about in German?
Emily: No!
Daddy: Do you want to count to ten in English?
Emily: Yep!

If only you could hear her attitude along with reading this conversation. Thankfully she does seem to show interest in Hungarian and speaks a few words to her Nagypapi and Nagymami when we Skype with them.

Summer time!

June is quickly moving on and it will soon be Emily's birth month! I can't believe I will have a 2 year old!! Oh, how I love her! We are enjoying the summer with a lot of playing, swimming, baking, potty training, etc. The days have been warm, but that doesn't seem to stop my sweet girl. We are so thrilled to be living in our little community of other seminary students/families. My guess is that on this one street we have 10 toddlers (between 18months and 2 years), which means there is always a friend for Emily. She has enjoyed playing with her buddies and often asks for them by name. Her vocabulary has really taken off and she is now singing complete songs on her own. Pretty much the cutest thing to hear, ever!
Here are just a few pics to share....

She loves to help me bake!

Loving her homemade Rubbermaid sandbox...a great size for the back porch...and enough room to share with a friend!

This picture cracks me up! Emily only gets her paci at naptime/bedtime, but she thinks Elmo needs the extra comfort, too. I walked in one afternoon to find her putting one in his mouth.

She loves her new baby stroller that her little friend, Janna, passed along to her.

Snack time with baby Kate.

My baby is getting so big. Mimi recently bought her this new backpack for church/travel. She loves it and ask to wear it all the time.

That's right, friends...we have successfully potty trained! :) Phew! Emily picked up on it like a champ and has been doing great!
