Happy 3rd Birthday, Emily!

On July 30th, we celebrated Emily's 3rd birthday!! I wasn't quite sure how things would go since we had just moved two days before, but we managed to make it a special day for her. Here are some pictures from our day...we love celebrating birthdays and these precious lives God has blessed us with!

The night before Em's bday, I spent 3 hours at our old apartment cleaning it from top to bottom. I wanted to decorate our new place for the next morning and had asked Viktor to blow up all the balloons while I was gone. He even managed to put them into a number "3".....and he was so proud!

Her birthday plate and banner (both from her first birthday) and the crown Mimi got her from IKEA...all ready for her birthday breakfast.

Yummy...cinnamon rolls and strawberries (two of her favs) for breakfast. And of course, she is proud that she can officially show you how old she is!

Ready to open presents!

Since we had just moved two days before we kept her bday celebration to a couple close friends. Here are two of her favs, Olivia and Sydney. Don't you love Gabi's cupcake onesie...perfect for the occasion! :)

We've Moved!

The move is over! Phew. And, almost every box is already unpacked. That makes me feel even better! Of course, when you have moved 4 times in the past 4 years it really helps cut down on the amount of stuff you keep, making each move a bit easier (maybe?!). This was our first move when we decided to actually get a UHaul since we were moving a little further out of town. Even though we had our truck reserved over a month in advance it wasn't returned in time by the people using it prior to our reservation and therefore we didn't end up getting truck. Instead, they paid us!! HA! Of course, all of this happened at the last minute, so we quickly gathered 6 other vehicles and helpers and got it all moved in one trip. We are all getting settled and loving our new home!! Ever since we moved out here Emily (so, all of us!) has been sleeping until about 7:45am every day (she used to get up around 6am). My guess is that the stress from the past few months finally caught up with us all and we're finally getting some much needed sleep and rest. We love the quiet of the country and Emily is especially fond of the two horses that live next door. I'm not sure the last time we were able to just sit outside and enjoy a quiet evening, but we sure are enjoying it now!  I'll have more pictures to share another time, but just wanted to share a quick one from our moving day...I was able to capture 5 of the 7 vehicles hauling our stuff out to our place.  :)
