Too tired for a clever title.... :)

We have been busy!! I know, I know...who hasn't been busy!?! But, seriously, two weeks ago we spent our first full weekend home since February. Phew! We have been traveling and though tiring at times, it has been good! We have been blessed with two great little travelers who seem to not be phased with packing up every weekend and staying in a new place each time. They have adapted far better than I could've ever imagined...thankful for those who pray for us!!! We are heading out on a 10 day adventure tomorrow, will be home for less than 2 weeks and will head out again on another 10 day adventure! This week we will be visiting some friends in IN before heading to Michigan for a family vacation with my parents. We are looking forward to some time away to rest. At the end of the week we get to head to a church in MI to share. The pastor was a missionary in Hungary when Viktor was in high school. It will be great for them to catch up! Emily just finished two weeks of swim lessons and we are hoping this will be a good start to all the swimming we will hopefully get to do next week! We appreciate your prayers as we hit the road, yet again!

Here are just some random pictures since my last post...with a few updates. :)

Emily enjoys taking care of our newly planted flowers and her little sister is not far behind! Side note...Emily wasn't much of a climber, Gabi on the other hand LOVES to climb and has no fear. She is such a little go-getter!

My sweet big girl ready for some time in the water!

I seriously LOVE how well these two play together. It has been one of the sweetest relationships to watch develop. I pray they continue to be best buds.
We spent Memorial Day Wknd in New Carlisle, IN. We were able to visit some good friends and speak in a church that supports us. We also got to take a side trip to the area zoo. Gabi loved the peacock!

Getting ready to hike up the big tower.
Emily and Dan coming down from the tower. We were working on her "I U" cheer!
Another example of how my girls are so different. Emily would never get this close to a horse. Gabi loves animals. This might change, however, since right after this picture was taken the horse bit her finger pretty hard. :) This is also the girl that will pick up bugs that are crawling around outside and bring them to me. ha. Love her.
Enjoying some bonding time!
The zoo was across the street from Lake Michigan (one of my all-time favorite places). We couldn't resist a little beach time even though it was cloudy and cool.

Steph and Em tossing rocks into the lake.
We were all a little tuckered out.
Some of the church got together for a cookout while we were there and so we got to enjoy some extra time with them. Earlier in the day, Roglenda (pictured below) had asked Emily what kind of cookies she likes. Emily said she liked icing and sprinkles. After dinner that night Roglenda surprised Emily (and the rest of the kiddos) with these fun cookies. So thoughtful!!

The weekend after Memorial Day we spent in Bloomington visiting sweet friends. We also celebrated Gabriella's baby dedication at our "home" church. I love the next two pictures. The first clearly shows how much Gabi did not want John to hold her during the prayer. She was SO upset. Viktor finally leaned in and they all hugged. She finally gave in and grabbed a hold of Viktor's nose while resting her head on John's shoulder (see pic below). It was a sweet moment.

We got home from Btown Sunday evening to have my parents arrive for a short visit. They were vacationing in GA and stopped for a few days on their way back home. Gabi finally got her 1st birthday present from them...a stylin' pink car! She LOVES it and the girls spent most of the day playing in it! Here she is "helping" daddy put it together.

A little princess dance party...a frequent event around this house. Can't wait to add another little girl!

Helping me prepare breakfast. :)

I can't believe I captured this moment on camera, but so thankful I did. These girls are just so sweet. My heart melts.

And now I am officially exhausted after packing and preparing for our trip all day!  I'm heading to bed...wishing my body (at 26 weeks pregnant) could allow me to sleep this peacefully!!

Preschool Program

Last week we celebrated the end of a great first year of preschool for Em! She has loved learning and making new friends...and doesn't quite understand why she has to wait until the fall to go back to school! Here are some pictures of her last day!

During the last few weeks of school the director took the kids out in twos to interview them on camera. She then put it together in a video to show us during the end of year program. I don't have the ability to post the entire video, but here are the screen shots of Emily's answers....the first question was, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Her answer, "I want to ride horses!"
Her second question was, "what makes you happy?" Her answer, "when my mom holds me." Adorable!
She graduated to Pre-K! :)
These two have been pals since they were little babies!
Emily adored her teachers this year. Here she is with Ms. Vicki.

Ms. Kimberly teaches one of the other classes, but she and Em have bonded this year.
My almost 4 year old!! She is such a blessing and is growing up so fast!

May extras...

May has been a busy month...in addition to birthdays, traveling every weekend, anniversary, Mother's Day, dance recital, end of school program and BSF we have been working on our dental hygiene...

And preparing for warmer days...Gabi begs for her hat and sunglasses almost every morning...today I put her down in the kitchen to prepare her breakfast and she walked over to the door, grabbed her sandals and brought them back to me. She loves to be outside!

On May 5 we celebrated my 31st birthday! Viktor and Em spent the entire afternoon putting together a masterpiece of a cake!

I was impressed!!!
We're trying to make more trips to the library now that school is out for the summer. It's so fun to explore new books!

This past weekend we were in IN and got to see our good friends Mark and Eszti who had just returned from a year in Hungary. It was such a blessing to catch up with them. We look forward to serving with them in Hungary in the near future!!

May 12, 2013

May 12th marks a special date in our family life...our anniversary! This year it was an extra special day as we not only celebrated 6 years of marriage, but I got to celebrate being a mommy to these (3) adorable little girls!!! I loved every minute of the day as we reflected on how God has blessed us as a family, beginning with our marriage and continuing with our children. What a precious gift!!

Spring Dance Recital

We are so proud of Emily, our little performer! This past weekend she performed in her first dance recital and she did great! Last December we had gone to watch her friend perform and Emily immediately asked to be in a dance recital. So, in January we began this adventure of taking dance classes and preparing for a recital. I wasn't sure how she would do when it was time to get up on stage in front of 450+ people and dance, but she LOVED it!! The last few dance classes that were held at the studio, the teacher allowed the parents to come in for the final few minutes to watch them practice their dance. Well, Emily would get all bashful when we filed in the room, so I figured she might not like performing in front of hundreds of people. In fact, they were scheduled to do 3 performances and I figured after the first one on Friday she would be done (and I was totally prepared to not make her go back if she didn't want to)...but she was pumped up and couldn't wait to perform again on Saturday. HA! It was a great experience for her.

Here she is with Reagan, one of the class helpers. She had such sweet, older role models helping her class and it was so cute to see how much she looked up to them! She cried after the last performance as she gave them all hugs and said goodbye.
Emily is the second little one (in white) from the right.

Some of our sweet, sweet friends came from London and Frankfort (KY) to support Em. She is so blessed by those who love and care for her! Here she is with Amy.
 Her sweet friend, Sydney.

 She loves her buddy, Luke!
The whole gang out for pizza after the show.
