Happy 90th Birthday, Grandma!

Emily and I traveled back to Indiana last week to celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday. It was a great time and we enjoyed seeing all of our family (this was a first for Emily to meet some of my cousins). We were sad Viktor couldn't join us due to his church, class, and work commitments, but I think he managed to get a lot of things done while we were gone! Here are some pics of our time at the lake house...

It was soooo quiet and still...such a peaceful time on the lake.
My cousin, Ben, and his wife, Misty.
My cousin, Beth, and my aunt Chris. My mom, uncle Mike, and cousin Chris.

We didn't stay on the lake too long that day because Emily was begging all of us to take her back to the house so she could see Grandma. She assumed this position most of the day...snugglin' with one of her favorite people!

Grandma opening our gift...a little tote we made for her. One side said, "Grandma-you have left a hand print on my heart." The other side was a flower made out of her hand prints.

Here she is showing Grandma how she made the hand prints.
My mom found this riding bear last fall. After many months and visits, she finally enjoys it. (It looks so real and Emily wouldn't have anything to do with it, until now.)

Being silly with Chris. Actually, Chris was the barricade to keep Emily from going upstairs...she was great and knew exactly how to turn it into a game and take Emily's attention away from climbing the stairs.

A proud mama of her 3 boys.

Trouble.

Everyone comparing their phones...ha.

Such a joyous occasion...happy, happy day!

Grandma showed Emily how to pick the icing off and lick her fingers...and then encouraged her to do so. :)

I love my girl!

There is no better way to end a long, hot day than playing half naked in the pool and sandbox. Though it looks like she thinks she is going shopping...this was a new gardening bag from Mimi.

Sharing her first rootbeer float with Mimi...at 10am!

We love you, Grandma! You are such a blessing to our family and we are so grateful to have celebrated your special day together!
