Halloween

 We have had a fun few days of celebrating the fall season with some of our sweet friends. Here are a few pictures of some of these fun moments!

We went to a Halloween party on Saturday night (only Em and I could go since Viktor had a weekend class). My mom sent this adorable garden gnome costume for Emily so I found an idea online and dressed up like a toadstool. It was pretty fun! The best part about this costume (Emily's) is that Viktor has always called her his "kerti torpe," which is Hungarian for "garden gnome." So, the outfit was very fitting! She LOVED getting dressed up. 

On Sunday afternoon we carved our first family pumpkin together. Viktor has actually never carved a pumpkin before...and his parents got to watch the whole thing on Skype, so it was a fun time for all. I think he enjoyed the baked seeds the most. Emily liked scooping out the seeds.

Emily got bored with it after a while and decided eating a popsicle would be a better way to pass the time. Ha!

He was proud! :)

On Monday the Bevil's came over for some fun festive foods before we went downtown for Treats On Main. Here are the cutest little kiddos around!

Of course we ran into all our friends with children (and even those without!) and enjoyed seeing all the creative costumes. There was even an entire family of gnomes...Emily would've fit right in! Emily enjoyed getting little goodies from all the local businesses and seeing all of her little buddies. Here she is seeing Emmalynn for the first time in a few weeks...they were overjoyed and it was pretty cute to watch.
