For the past few years we have tried to surprise my parents for two major events, announcing both pregnancies. We have both times come up with an elaborate, fun surprise to share the news and they have (both times) "ruined" it in some way. :) We had wanted to share the news in person rather than over the phone, but it just hasn't happened. I know this isn't a huge deal, but providing the Lord blesses us with more children, we will more than likely be overseas, so the opportunity to do it again won't necessarily be there. Obviously, not a big deal, but we wanted to do something fun to surprise them after our ultrasound to announce the gender of Baby Pickle. They were already planning on coming down for Thanksgiving on Tuesday evening, which worked out perfectly. We had to hold the news in through several phone calls (mostly them calling to beg us for the news, haha), but we did it! They arrived around 10pm last night. We let Emily stay up (well past her 7:30-8:00pm bedtime), but she was so excited. We decided to decorate the house to tell them what we would be having....

It worked! They were super surprised! Especially with the blue sign on the front door. We are very excited to announce to everyone that we will be welcoming another baby girl into our family! The little stinker is so active and it took the ultrasound lady what seemed like forever to find out, but she was most certain we are having a girl. Emily had fun with us at the ultrasound and continues to talk about how much baby pickle was moving around.
